Chris Sevcik is the new Director of International Markets for Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council. In his role, he'll work with farmer leaders to establish new markets and improve existing markets with trade partners across the globe.  

Chris was born in New York and raised in Texas before earning his undergraduate degree in international relations from Beloit College in Wisconsin. During his time there he studied abroad at a university called Sudan in Shanghai, China. Following graduation, Chris got a job in Shanghai working in company development. He later worked for a decade in Asia. Chris also holds his MBA from Western Carolina University. He comes to AMS with strong nonprofit and international trade experience on four continents. Chris currently lives in Philadelphia and is planning to relocate to Minnesota.  

Fun fact: Chris has traveled to 40-50 different countries and is passionate about volunteering.
