A morning commute alongside southern Minnesota farm fields with the rising sun and a side of country music is all Kelsey Barchenger needs to kick off the perfect day.  

With nearly a decade of experience in the journalism industry, Kelsey is accustomed to rising before the sun. She pairs well with a cup of Joe and considers herself an energetic and optimistic “morning person.” Kelsey, who joined Ag Management Solutions as a public relations manager in March 2024, is excited to transfer her communication skills into the public relations field and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with farmers and leaders in the agriculture industry. She’s spent many hours in the field herself, riding in the tractor with her husband, Austin, who is a third-generation corn and soybean farmer near Janesville. That buddy seat is now reserved for their two sons, Nash and Archie, who can’t seem to get enough of the farm life. When she’s not parked in a field driveway to pick up her kids from the tractor, Kelsey enjoys traveling and spending summer days on Lake Francis in Elysian, where she grew up.
