As a Communications Specialist with Ag Management Solutions, Sam works closely with county boards across southern Minnesota, serving as the representative for Minnesota Soybean. She helps connect local farmer leaders with statewide initiatives by providing timely updates from the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association and the Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council, including legislative efforts and checkoff investments. 

In addition to her work with county boards, Sam also contributes to the company’s communications efforts through photography and article writing. Her coverage area includes Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Dodge, Dakota-Rice, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Jackson, Le Sueur-Scott, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, McLeod, Mower, Murray, Nicollet-Sibley, Nobles, Olmsted-Wabasha, Pipestone, Redwood, Renville, Rock, Steele, Waseca, Watonwan and Yellow Medicine counties.  

She is a graduate of South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!) with a degree in Agricultural Communications and minors in Agricultural Business and Social Media. 

She and her husband are involved in the cattle industry and help run their family’s show cattle and seedstock operation, Washington Lake Cattle Company. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, graphic design, cooking and showing cattle.  

Fun Fact: After a little convincing from a neighbor who raises bucking bulls, Sam once climbed aboard and rode one, just long enough to say she did it.
